Life Update in 2025

I started blogging back in 2009, when I had started my photography business. For years and years, I blogged about my travels around the world and the family portraits I was taking…. Hold on, I just realized my original ‘blog’ is still there. Wild. You can see January 2013, I switched to my new website.

Sadly, when I started to redo my website back in 2019… most of my blog posts from 2013-2019 are gone and in a file somewhere I don’t know how to recover.

It is wild looking back on these years. I was a baby and I see what I was going after and I am so proud. I know so many of those years were difficult and painful, but it is definitely a different perspective when you are not in it, judging yourself along the way.

I love having a memory book to look back on as most my memories are on a harddrive somewhere … although most of those blogs were work related, it captures the memory of the moment. Obviously one of the reasons I love my job.

Remembering a moment… everything is telling a story.

Here are some life updates, and bringing back blogging off of a social media platform.

We got married! You can see some of our wedding here and here! Instead of my ‘headstands around the world’, we have transitioned into “Lifts Around The World” together and practicing our dance moves, but mainly just to have fun.
Here is one of our original lifts, that apparently
YouTube Shorts spread around.

Kona is still around and going strong closing in on 12 years — watch her over the years here

We recently added this sweet pup Harlie to our family when she was 8 weeks old!

She is now almost 11 weeks and if you have had a golden retriever puppy, you may know what the last couple weeks have been like :)

You can see some of Kona and Harlie together here

Our Documentary Film Series ‘Where We Belong’ received distribution back in 2022, after we streamed it during the 2020 lockdown and having our official premiere back in 2019. What a whirlwind!

If you have not seen it yet, it is available on Amazon, RightNow Media, Exploration Films and other streaming platforms

I stopped working with weddings, though so grateful for the many years in the wedding industry.

I am still creating, through filmmaking and music videos, as well as being a Coach with Outsider Consulting.

After running a creative business for years, I definitely needed to reset and learn to rest. Part of why I love coaching and am passionate about sharing some of the things I have learned along the way…is because there was so much I learned along the way.

You don’t know what you don’t know, until you do — and I am so grateful for the things I have learned because someone chose to share their story, or take time to teach information, or put their ideas into a book, or make a YouTube video, etc. This is a much more common things today with YouTube, Instagram, TikTok.

It has been difficult to allow myself to create just to create, vs producing art for work. That is the season I am in, making more space to create, without judgement, without the need to produce, withOUT the judgement of perfectionism.

Here are some of those new things:
